My Always Eat After 7 PM Journey: Week 3

It’s check-in time!

Last week I shared more about why I was implementing the action steps in Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. We also heard directly from Joel about his process for formulating the Always Eat After 7 PM plan.

So how I am feeling after three weeks of the Always Eat After 7 PM plan by Joel Marion? I'm sharing my weight loss, appetite and sleep habits. (AD)

As a reminder my main goals for implementing the Always Eat After 7 PM eating plan are to:

  • increase my energy,
  • sleep better without the aid of medication,
  • and to lose 45 pounds.

How I’m feeling?

I’m going into my third week of the Always Eat After 7 PM diet and so far, so good. My energy has increased. I have even been pushing myself to move more while at home. To make it simple and easy for me to implement my goal is to match the number of steps and “exercise minutes” from the previous day. This way all of my motivation comes from actions I’ve already taken and not from an outside source.

Also, now that I am focused on my water intake, those extra steps to bathroom are helping me to meet my steps goal. We’re reminded of the importance of water in our daily routine in from author Joel Marion:

“Water helps digest your food, expel wastes, regulate your temperature, protect your tissues, cushion your joints, and protect your spinal column, among many other vital functions. It is through water that hormones flow to the proper organs, that nutrients reach all cells, and that toxins are diluted and removed from the body.”

Has my sleep improved?

Sleep is still a struggle. The first week there were three nights I felt tired and fell asleep with my regular sleep routine – except without medication. Staying asleep without medication has been the struggle. I typically fall asleep between 9 and 10:30 PM and am wide awake around 4 AM. That’s no fun, but I knew this goal would be one of the more difficult ones to attain. On a plus, even with the lack of sleep, I can get up and be productive in the early mornings and afternoons.

Following the intermittent fasting schedule is easier than I anticipated! I am not a big morning eater, so the 3-Minute Fat-Burning Morning Ritual is perfect for me. I start my mornings with either an Apple Cider Vinegar mixture or a MetaboGreens (TM) Drink.

“The most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning. By following the Always Eat After 7PM program, you have the most willpower to stay on the diet because you are eating during the hours when you are most hungry.”

Let’s talk numbers!

Weight-wise I have lost 10 pounds. When I get under 200 pounds, I will throw a par-tay in my Instagram stories. My weight gain is something I have just put on the back burner over the last year or so while I focused on other health issues. Now is the time to make it a priority again.

I can definitely agree that Joel Marion’s Always Eat After 7PM program makes dieting easy and eliminates 90% of reasons for resistance. I am excited about continuing the process versus feeling as though it is a burden to my daily routine. Meal-planning is not a chore and there are tons of snack options that I can choose from and enjoy. I don’t feel as though I am missing out as I have adjusted to this plan.
