National Bullying Prevention Month is a campaign in the United States founded in 2006 by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center. The campaign is held during the month of October and unites communities nationwide to educate and raise awareness of bullying prevention.
In 2007, a school-based survey of African American adolescents in grades 5 – 12 was done. The primary purpose of the study was to research the prevalence of bullying among the children.
I’m striving to achieve a healthier lifestyle. I have noticed that one of my biggest “excuses” is not having time with the crazy schedule of my family to fit in exercising. For me, and perhaps many of you, exercise often feels like a chore but I realize it is something I need to do to keep fit and healthy. Movement on a regular basis can make a huge difference in the long term.

Thanks to some lovely blogging Divas, I have been challenged to embrace my kitchen – specifically cooking on a more regular basis. I will be honest, this is one of those things I have never had true passion for. I have tried – sort of, okay, maybe not fully.
This one challenge that I know my husband would love if I truly succeeded at.
When you woke up this morning, what was your response to the alarm, or the sun, or whatever woke you? Were you excited to start your day? Were you irritated to be awoken? If you had the former response, it’s likely that you see opportunity in even the most mundane experiences. If you had the second response (assuming you did not have a late night), you may be stuck in a rut. Diva, it is time to get out of that rut and recognize that everyday experiences are opportunities in waiting.
