This month we had several post dedicated to personal finance in honor of Financial Literacy Month. I hope that the information shared was useful and relevant to each of you in some way!
This month we, also, revamped our Thankful Thursday posts and began a weekly link-up for bloggers to connect and share. This week we’re focused on a week of gratitude. Head over, link-up or just share what you’re thankful for this week.
If money weren’t an object, I’d go back to school full-time to complete my degree and continue on with my Masters in Business Administration.
Some of the items on my to-do list for the next 10 years are:
- Becoming debt free
- Taking a family vacation to Washington, DC and Birmingham, Alabama
- Becoming more organized
- Sending my parents on a vacation
- Travelling to Paris and Africa
- Taking a cruise to Alaska
Goal setting is the first step in attaining them.
Whew! Another month has coming to a close! Though the calendar says Spring, the temperatures, colds and viruses making their way through my household made me do a double-take. However, throughout the month we’ve had some bright moments and celebrations.
The month kicked off with our family celebrating my youngest son’s 5th birthday!

This weekend I’m making a commitment to participate in my first weekend blogging party – Bloggiesta, to be specific. The purpose is to dedicate time to planning, editing, developing, reviewing and organizing your blog and connecting with other bloggers who are doing the same.
I’ve been a little lax with many of blog goals this month so a weekend specifically focused on getting the behind the scenes stuff done is just what I need!
This year I established some financial goals focused on debt reduction and savings. I’m looking at different ways to help with earning additional income and maximizing my savings in different areas of my personal and professional life.
Couponing is not a new concept for me. I love a great deal and am often known to say “I know have a coupon for that” while reaching for my coupon wallet. Many avid couponers will admit that there are times when they have to step away from the clipping,
