eMeals: Making Dinner Time Simpler

I have been using eMeals for about two weeks now and, surprisingly, it is a timesaver and regularly used in our household!  I have to thank them for allowing me to use their services and sharing my thoughts and experiences with my divalicious readers!  While I CAN cook, I don’t necessarily LIKE to do so. (I know I am not the only one!).  There are times when the urge to jump in the kitchen and whip up a “down home” meal or something for my sweet tooth hits me, but for my regular, daily routine it just is not my favorite thing to do.  Add in an 8-10 hour work day, planning and preparing a meal just does not always cut it.  Many an evening my husband and I would find ourselves looking at one another asking, “Isn’t it your turn to cook? What’s for dinner?” and end up overspending on items to cook a quick (and often unhealthy) meal for ourselves and the kids.

eMeals takes the guess-work out of dinner time.  Each week I’m emailed a spreadsheet of suggested dinner combinations (main dish AND accompaniments). That’s not all…the menus are matched up with items on sale from my preferred grocery store!

Meal Planning at your fingertips: Their iPhone / iPad app is, also, a win for me. I can plan meals on the go and have my shopping list at my fingertips (because I am notorious for writing a list out and leaving it in the car, my desk, where ever).

Over the years I have learned to value my time and efforts. There are some services that I do not mind paying for if they will save me time and money in the long run. For $0.16 to $0.32 a day I can get healthy, simple-to-follow and make meals that are already matched up with my preferred grocery stores sales for the week? That is a win-win-win for me!  eMeals even offers additional services to help with planning breakfasts, bagged lunches and desserts. I am considering the lunch add-on for afternoon meals for my sons. They both eat lunch at school between 10 and 11 AM so by the time they get home in the afternoons they are ready to eat again.

I wondered about this. It seems like just something extra to do. Glad to know you've found it helpful.
