Yes, you read that correctly. We are mindful to be thankful and grateful so much in our lives but it is important that you remember to be thankful for you!
Having a spirit of gratitude begins internally. Recognizing and respecting that you, yes you, are worth gratitude and respect is the start. If you don’t realize that, how can others? If you can’t recognize that within yourself, then how can you truly recognize and appreciate it within others?

4 Ways To Express Gratitude for YOU
- Regularly list out ways that you’ve knocked your own socks off. Did you cross off all the items on your daily to-do list? Celebrate that. Did you meet a personal goal? Celebrate, Diva, Celebrate.
- Compliment yourself. You are one awesome, Diva! Remind yourself of that on a regular basis. Take a good look in the mirror, appreciate and celebrate the person looking back at you.
- Remember, it’s okay to put yourself first. Take the time to put yourself at the top of your list. We often take great care of everyone else and give ourselves the leftovers. You deserve the crème de la crème.
- Believe in yourself and keep a positive attitude. You can be your biggest cheerleader and supporter. Remind yourself how awesome you are. Write it down, post it on your mirror, text it to yourself, and schedule a pop up reminder in Outlook.
Each Thursday on Divas With A Purpose, we pause to reflect on what we’re thankful for. Gratitude is a huge part of my life. A few years ago I made a conscious decision to reflect more on what I had versus what I did not have – since then I’ve seen a considerable positive change in my attitude and demeanor even in stressful situations.
I encourage my supporters to take a moment to think about what they have to be thankful for. Feel free to share below in the comments – you never know how you’ll inspire and motivate someone else.

Michelle, these are some WONDERFUL TIPS! I tend to to all of these seriously! I always celebrate myself, because if I don't NO ONE else will! It has nothing to do with being conceited as many people tend to believe. Thank you for linking up!

Thank you Michelle. I used to do this as regularly as brushing my teeth. I need to get back to it. It's a refreshing way to start the day instead of worrying about what the day will bring.

Oh yes, we must take care of ourselves or we cannot take care of our loved ones adequately! Thanks for the reminder!
