The past few months I have been focusing on positive affirmations throughout my day. Starting your day with positive affirmations can help to shift your mindset and start you off in a productive manner.
Simply put, affirmations are short, powerful statements that strongly state a fact – typically one you are striving to attain or maintain in your personal or professional life.
MindTools.com gives a wonderful analogy when referencing affirmations: “[Look] at positive affirmations this way – many of us do repetitive exercises to improve our body’s physical health and condition.
“Words are free.
It’s how you use them that may cost you.” -Kushand Wizdom
I remember years ago, someone very close to me said some very harsh words that stayed with me for years. Often I would go to do something new, their words would come back and I would freeze in fear believing I was unable to succeed. I blame no one but myself for what I have or have not accomplished in my life.
There’s a secret to success out there, one that has nothing to do with relying on other people whatsoever: the secret is you, the hard work you put into life and the level head you show when it matters. Whether you’re going into business, looking to invest, opening an eCommerce store or anything else, it’s all in your own hands. Ultimately, your life is in your hands, and it’s up to you to make sure you’re in the best possible position to make it as fruitful as possible.

I shared in this article on ways to kick start your week that I truly believe when you start off on a low-note it makes it so much harder to get to that high-note.
Are you struggling to make ends meet or in a dead-end career that has no chance of a pay rise. I know how that feels and the first question you need to ask yourself is what’s holding you back? Usually it’s not a lack of intelligence or ability. It’s more to do with whether we have the inspiration to be better and make more. If you can find the inspiration to do better in life,
Are you shy? Do you tend to be more passive when you enter a room and hope that all eyes are not on you? Do you struggle to communicate your opinions, thoughts, and needs clearly and confidently? It’s not uncommon. Many are surprised when I let them know that I am actually that person. I am a natural introvert but have worked to exude way more confidence than I typically am feeling when in public settings.
