The 8th Annual BronzeLens Film Festival starts this week in Atlanta, Georgia and I am excited to be attending as a part of their social media team!
The festival, a non-profit organization, was founded in 2009 to promote Atlanta as the new film mecca for people of color and to showcase films and provide networking opportunities that will develop the next generation of filmmakers. It features screenings in multiple venues, as well as informative panels,
Going to a corn maze has been on our family’s fall bucket list for the past few years. Last month we finally had a chance to visit a corn maze local to Columbia, South Carolina.
Clinton Sease Farm is located in Lexington, South Carolina – about a 30 minute drive from our home. One Saturday morning, I got up and told my little ones to get dressed and put on comfy shoes.
I was first introduced to Painting With A Twist at a blogging conference last year. I had a fantastic time – the instructors were fun, energetic and I left with a painting that I honestly did not think I could complete. I gifted it to my oldest son and he still has it hanging proudly in his room. For a teenager and high schooler, that says a lot!
I am excited to have been invited by the National Association of Professional Women’s Atlanta Local Chapter to join them at Painting With A Twist in Buckhead on Monday,
Divas With A Purpose was on assignment this weekend at the Pose’ n Post Symposium, hosted by the one and only, Chrisette Michele! It was an opportunity offered to only a handful of bloggers and media personnel and we were chosen. E’toshia McFarland of Faces by Etosh and myself, Sherika V. Washington of Worthy Words Writing Services were on hand to represent Divas With A Purpose.

Last month I had the opportunity to support the Sister Summit Expo, a local community event, as a vendor. It was a great opportunity to network with fellow divas and meet with women who were interested in supporting and building one another up.
Most that attend expos are looking to sell a product or a service,
Last weekend, I had the opportunity to get together with a great group of Divas here in Columbia, South Carolina for The Niche Parent Network and Conference. We met at one of my new favorite restaurants, the mamas and the tapas, in Downtown Columbia. Our group ranged from seasoned bloggers, new and about to be bloggers, event planners, direct sales consultants, and a published author. Many thanks to Saidah Washington of A Proverbs Wife and Aprons and Stilletos for coming out and sharing her knowledge on building an effective and profitable email list –
