Declutter Bootcamp – Making A Happy Home

One of my biggest struggles around my house is clutter. It’s “neat” clutter but I have a lot of STUFF. From clothing my kids have outgrown, waiting to grow into, books, toys, ugh….just stuff! With that in mind, I was excited when I read about Savvy Suburban Mama’s Declutter Bootcamp that kicked off on Saturday, May 18th.

Declutter Bootcamp Preparation

Prior to the Declutter Bootcamp kicking off, I did some pre-work. For this challenge, my main focuses will be:

  • my daughter’s bedroom and closet – which has really become a catch-all room
  • my closet
  • the bookshelves and dresser top in my bedroom
  • hall closets and my sons’ closet

I plan to tackle one area each week. For the first week, since I was out of town over the weekend, I will start with the hall closets and my sons’ closet.

Personally, dedicating a few minutes a day works best for me. I found this great daily checklist on Pinterest that I’ll be implementing along with the mini-challenges from the Declutter Bootcamp.
