Each month I meet with a group of DIVAs in Columbia, South Carolina as part of The Divatude Challenge – our on-going focus on SMART goals within our personal and professional lives. One discussion that comes up fairly regularly with new participants is stopping negative behavior.
I am a huge proponent of positive self-talk. Often we talk ourselves out of doing great things before we even get started!
Do you have negative behaviors that you want to get a handle on?
Hard to believe that January is over! The first month of 2015 is coming to an end. When I reflect on the month, I am amazed at how much has been jammed into this month. My focus word for 2015 is being INTENTIONAL and for January many of my activities centered around compiling my SMART goals and establishing a routine and accountability for them.
I hosted a vision board party for a group of awesome Divas here in Columbia,
I have to give a very special thank you to Faces By ETOSH for coming through and completing my Divalicious look for the 2nd Annual Celebration Of Divatude hosted here in Columbia, South Carolina last month.
Thanks to Simply Essentials – E’toshia used their Angled Kabuki Brush to help complete my look.
E’toshia is super talented (and patient!). She was, also, a participant in our first year of The Divatude Challenge and has really taken off with her goals –
Britney started 2013 with specific goals laid out for her finances, fitness and health and attending Pharmacy School after graduating from the University of South Carolina.
We celebrated with her as she was accepted into her top choice – the Medical University of South Carolina – and made life-changing habits to become a better saver.
You can catch up with Britney’s previous check-in’s here.
Kimberly started off 2013 with specific goals in mind for her dessert business and newly formed non-profit. Throughout the year, she has struggled to overcome distractions and changes in directions. Throughout it all, she has grown and continues to press forward.
You can catch up with Kimberly’s previous check-ins here.
Whitney started off 2013 with lofty goals for her blog, independent contracting and direct sales businesses. While things did not go exactly as she planned, overall she has had a great year!

So much has happened for me this last quarter of the year it’s unbelievable! Well let’s start…..
This year we introduced The Divatude Challenge – a year dedicated to focusing on specific goals within our personal and professional lives. Five awesome divas were gracious enough to sign up and share their successes, setbacks and insight throughout the year. I cannot wait to share their final updates for 2013 within the coming weeks.
I would take this time to publicly commend and thank Britney, E’toshia, Whitney, Janeane and Kimberly for their support and participation in The Divatude Challenge 2013.
