March 2013 Recap

Whew! Another month has coming to a close! Though the calendar says Spring, the temperatures, colds and viruses making their way through my household made me do a double-take. However, throughout the month we’ve had some bright moments and celebrations.

The month kicked off with our family celebrating my youngest son’s 5th birthday!

I introduced to you all to the Lillie-Helen Foundation for Stroke Awareness – a joint effort between myself and my oldest and dearest friend! I’m excited about the doors opening for us and am so thankful to be sharing this leap of faith with someone who has been a part of my life for almost as long as I can remember!

With the beginning of spring, we discussed reviving our 2013 goals and obstacles that we may come up against throughout our journey. If you’re interested in participating in a mini-goals challenge to help with following through on SMART goal you have set to achieve by the fall, head over here for more information and to sign-up!

Spring Into Action

To help with my goals, I participated in my very first weekend blogathon and have been making some behind the scene updates to the blog. I’ve revamped the Bloggers Connect page to include a daily listing of link-ups and giveaway link-ups. I encourage you to check it out and add your information!

I’ve, also, begun doing a weekly Thankful Thursday link-up and had a very successful Thankful Thursday Facebook virtual event!

I’m excited about April (Spring Break’s this week…YAY!!!) and sharing the first Financial Literacy Series in honor of Financial Literacy Month! Starting tomorrow there will be posts geared towards the different aspects of personal finance – budgeting, savings, debt management, and teaching our children about personal finance.

Happy April-Eve! I hope you’re all enjoying your Easter weekend!
